In Vaires-sur-Marne, just outside Paris, unique creations take shape, each one crafted entirely by hand. Though trained as a carpenter, it was his brother, a cabinetmaker, who passed on to him a love for traditional joinery and the desire to design furniture with character.
His process is intentionally artisanal: handsaw, plane, spokeshave… every tool carries a precise gesture, far removed from industrial shortcuts. For him, slowing down is essential. Handcrafting becomes a practice of focus and self-expression, where the natural irregularities of wood are embraced as part of the final harmony.
“No one wants to make the same piece over and over. Dreaming, imagining, observing, that’s part of the process. That’s the luxury I aspire to.”This philosophy captures his spirit: creating pieces that are never identical, born from the inspiration of the moment, balancing age-old craftsmanship with personal imagination.
The woods he chooses are solid, responsibly sourced, often acquired from retiring woodworkers. Oak, ash, sipo… each species reveals its unique personality through visible, metal-free joinery inspired by traditional techniques.
The result is a collection of timeless, functional, and distinctive pieces, objects that tell a story of patience, passion, and respect for the material.
